As Doulas, we are equally passionate about the support & care we provide to new & expecting families. Between our extensive experience and Certifications we knew combining forces would only strengthen what we have to offer.
We are honored to extend our team, including additional service providers specializing in all areas of care Mothers may need.
After having my own children, I know the importance of having the support families need. With my training and experience it is my goal to elevate your birth journey so it is remembered in a positive light.
If you asked me what I wanted to be my response was always "A Mom." I am so grateful that my dream came true. There were certainly some challenges along the way. After my daughter was born I suffered a miscarriage followed by an ectopic pregnancy. Thankfully I went on to have my son.
Having the physical and mental support that is needed during all stages of parenthood is when I realized I had a second part to my dream. Helping people has always been my nature. I saw a need for more preparation, education and support for families.
I was extremely lucky to have wonderful Doulas by my side and I knew it was what I was meant to do. I feel great joy helping families achieve the birth they wanted and honored to share in such a special moment.
I struggled with breastfeeding my Daughter and exclusively pumped for many months. While pregnant with my son, I studied the Thompson method which is a much gentler approach of letting baby latch. It completely changed my views on the typical forceful techniques we are often taught and lead me to become a CLC. I had a long successful breastfeeding journey with him.
I also experienced first hand the fear and stress that can be put on mothers to follow hospital policies. These timelines often lead to unnecessary inductions and cesareans.
I believe having the confidence to trust that your body knows how to birth your baby will make all the difference in your experience.
I went through years of infertility and suffered a loss before conceiving my son. I had major anxiety about giving birth and 3 weeks before my due date, my husband suggested I hire a birth doula. I connected with my birth doula immediately and felt a sense of calmness with her.
After 19 hrs of labor, I was able to successfully have the birth I wanted. I believe it was truly because of the support I received from my birth doula.
I was so inspired by my birth doula, I knew I wanted to be surrounded by empowering, strong, like minded women. Once home from the hospital, my husband immediately had to return to work 3 days later.
I struggled with major sleep deprivation ,postpartum anxiety, and breastfeeding. I didn't want other mothers to suffer in silence the way I did. I felt I couldn't complain because I still had friends that were struggling to get pregnant.
My care is extremely supportive of parents decisions when it comes to how they want to parent. You will receive non judgmental, empathetic, and passionate care. It is important to me to make mothers the priority during their postpartum period.
I have been a postpartum doula over the last 5 yrs and truly listen to mother's needs.
My goal is to also train as a bereavement doula in honor of one of my best friend's that sadly lost her beautiful son at 5 and a half months gestation. We need more support for families that have suffered through a loss.
